Bluecover u-blox NEO-M8N GNSS Receiver Breakout Design

0.00€

This GNSS receiver breakout uses U-blox NEO-M8N chipset with an external antenna for integration with existing market microcontroller devices, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Bluecover is open-sourcing its own breakout design, including the schematic, PCB layout and gerbers, to enable developers to test this chipset performance and produce their own modules.
The U-blox NEO-M8N chipset is Industry leading with –167 dBm navigation sensitivity, excels in the accuracy, while retailing at a attractive price point. It is complete multi-constellation position, velocity, and time (PVT) engine featuring high performance, high sensitivity, and low power consumption. This module is capable of excellent performance in harsh environments. Allows concurrent reception of up to 3 GNSS constellations (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou) yields better coverage, greater accuracy, and improved availability.
If you are looking for GNSS multi-constellation support, as well as support for SBAS and A-GPS, this breakout may present a great solution.

Description

The NEO-M8N GNSS Breakout was designed as a shield solution to provide an easy integration with BLC GAMMA3 microcontroller board. Nonetheless, it allows an easy integration with most microcontroller interfaces present at market, using UART and I2C interfaces. Microcontrollers working at more than 3.3V require a level shifter board in order to prevent this breakout board of being damaged.
